Penn Hills School District

Update from PHSD Superintendent

I expect to join a conference call being hosted by the PA Department of Education  for school officials tomorrow morning.  Beyond that, we are suspending all after-school activities for the Penn Hills School District as of tomorrow, Friday, March 13, 2020.

Our Linton musical crew has been alerted to the suspension of after-school activities and is attempting to film a dress rehearsal this evening during the last practice before the suspension of after-school activities is imposed tomorrow.  We remain hopeful that "James and the Giant Peach" may be performed for the public at a later date.

Specific to the status of daily school operations, we remain at status quo until we hear more directly from the PA Department of Education tomorrow morning.  I will forward an update to our stakeholders after tomorrow's debriefing from the Harrisburg officials.  That update will include an anticipated end date to the suspension of after-school activities that goes into effect Friday, March 13, 2020.

We thank Everyone in advance for your ongoing patience as we work through this unprecedented situation.

Sincerely,
Nancy

EDIT:
The March 14 SAT has been cancelled at Penn Hills Sr. High School. At this time, we do not have any information regarding a make up test. Please contact the College Board with any questions
