Penn Hills School District

Update from the Superintendent - Nov 30, 2020

Based on the current weather forecast, Penn Hills School District is shifting to 100% remote learning for all K-12 students on Tuesday, December 1, 2020. PHSD staff (other than members of the Plant and Food Services Department) will have the option to work from home tomorrow exclusively and/or to work a portion of the day remotely and a portion of the day onsite, at their discretion and according to prevailing weather conditions. PHSD extra-curricular activities may be hosted at the end of the school day tomorrow, depending on weather conditions. Service Aides will not report tomorrow.

100% remote learning will continue on Wednesday of this week for all K-12 PHSD students, as has been customary this school year.

Penn Hills Elementary School will remain in 100% remote learning mode on Thursday, December 3 and Friday, December 4, 2020, while Linton MS and Penn Hills HS are expected to resume onsite learning opportunities for hybrid students on these same days. The additional days of remote learning are necessary at Penn Hills Elementary School due to anticipated staff absences this week resulting from recent recommendations to quarantine.

Thanks!

Dr. Nancy Hines

Superintendent
